Hyderabad's Trendsetting Humanitarian Sudha Reddy Sparks Fashion Uproar At Paris Haute Couture Week

Sudha Reddy wears numerous hats, including executive director of the Megha Group of Industries, philanthropist, and socialite. Reddy has made a name for herself as the high priestess of luxury fashion thanks to her enormous wardrobe that includes some of the most coveted premium brands. Regardless of the event, whether it's a day out with her Tollywood friends or a significant Indian wedding, you can count on Reddy to appear as though she just stepped out of a magazine.
Hyderabad-based Reddy, who made history by walking the red carpet at the 2021 Met Gala, did so again at the just-concluded famous Paris Haute Couture presentations. The wife of Hyderabad-based billionaire Megha Krishna Reddy became the first famous person from South India to represent her city on the front row this year after Delhi-based designer Rahul Mishra made history by becoming the first Indian designer to be invited by the committee of the Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture in 2020 for his first-ever Haute Couture show. She made her debut at the event, which was one of the most eagerly awaited haute couture shows of the year.
Sudha chose painstakingly crafted accessories including handbags by Judith Leiber, Hermes, Dolce & Gabbana, and sunglasses by Gucci and Versace to strike the ideal mix between European elegance and Indian history.
Her jewellery is from the Indian studio Ghanasingh. Be True, a company with a 116-year history and a fourth-generation diamantaire, created particularly designed pieces to go with Sudha's varied style, from a tanzanite and diamond crown to a 100-carat malachite choker necklace.
Sudha Reddy expands, "It was an exhilarating experience to attend such an exclusive and unrivalled showcase. Highlighting the rich artistic ancestry of India was the singular agenda of my visit. The craftsmanship from India needs to be championed at every stage and I'm more than happy to lend a voice to propel a substantial cause."
After being the first celebrity from Hyderabad and the only Indian to be invited to the famous Met Gala in 2021, Sudha Reddy's participation in Paris Haute Couture Week solidifies her position as a global leader in the fashion industry. But the renowned industrialist is best adored for her charitable work and efforts to empower women.
The eponymous Sudha Reddy Foundation seeks to empower women and children with an emphasis on inexpensive healthcare and accessible education, while the Megha Group of Industries' corporate social responsibility efforts are led by the humanitarian who leads with her heart.
