M Venkaiah Naidu, India's Vice President, emphasized the need of educating girl children in the country, emphasizing the importance of women's empowerment for faster national advancement.

Naidu made these remarks at the publication of a book about Umar Alisha, the former priest of Sri Viswa Vignana Vidya Adhyatmika Peetham in Vishakhapatnam, and his parliamentary debates.

The Vice President, speaking at the event, stated that educating a female child is one of the most important components in a person's, family's, and nation's economic development, and that "The empowerment of women is essential for accelerated national progress."

Naidu praised Alisha as a humanist and underlined his work in literary and sociological reforms, as well as for women's empowerment while expressing respect to him for his involvement in India's freedom movement during the British Raj. In response to Alisha's spiritual approach, Venkaiah Naidu stated that religious and spiritual leaders should spread the notion of "service" to the general public.

"It should be conveyed to the people that spirituality and service are not separate, and they essentially seek social welfare," the Vice President said.

"Spirituality and service are not two different things. Spirituality is not a form of worship. An outstanding lifestyle that boosts our morale. Maintaining our electrical virtue in a trinitarian way. Shri Umar Alisha has shown great meaning in the spiritual path, in practice," Naidu stated.

Naidu also asked India's young to be inspired by the sacrifices and valour of freedom fighters in order to work toward a more harmonious and inclusive society. He remarked that building a society free of all discriminatory evils is a really rich homage to freedom fighters' efforts.
