Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages, a leading manufacturer of fast-moving consumer goods, has launched a digital literacy program in the state with the goal of teaching women the principles of banking services.
About 3,000 women from Tamil Nadu would receive training as part of the program, which aims to train 25,000 women across the nation.
According to a company statement, the financial and digital literacy training program would cover account opening procedures, UPI training, and the fundamentals of banking.
Participants would be categorized according to their needs, interests, and current levels of financial and digital literacy. The training will be delivered in a classroom setting at predetermined locations.
"Our dedication to making a positive difference in our community at Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages goes beyond just serving up cool drinks. Our commitment to promoting change is demonstrated by the financial and digital literacy programs we have implemented in Tamil Nadu, according to Himanshu Priyadarshi, Chief Public Affairs, Communications, and Sustainability Officer at HCCB.
"This initiative embodies our belief that empowerment is the key to building resilient communities and driving long-term socio-economic progress," he stated.
In front of senior government and business officials, P Geetha Jeevan, the Tamil Nadu Minister for Social Welfare and Women Empowerment, recently introduced the program in the city.
According to the statement, the digital literacy component would cover ideas like cyber safety, security, digital market linkage, and mobile banking.
