Amith Shah highlights PM Modi's women-led development campaigns on National Girl Child Day

According to Home Minister Amit Shah, Prime Minister Narendra Modi changed the concept of women's development into a women-led development campaign, which has created various chances for women to advance in the country.
He claimed women had won acclaim in numerous sectors as a result of the possibilities provided to them in a tweet on National Girl Child Day.
Following the Prime Minister's appeal, Shah stated the Beti Bachao, Beti Padao campaign has evolved into a people's campaign, with a huge improvement in the gender ratio.
The National Commission for Women hosted a webinar on Save the Girl Child on National Girl Child Day to promote girl child rights and raise awareness about numerous subjects affecting girls, including as education, health, and nutrition.
The discussion centred on promoting a new perspective toward girl children by changing society's attitude toward them and raising awareness about the discrimination they face.
As panellists, Rekha Sharma, former Haryana Minister O P Dhankar, and Pragya Vats, Head of Campaign Save the Children, attended the webinar.
The Chairperson addressed a number of issues concerning girls' education, health, freedom of choice, and decision-making authority. She stated that girls and boys are on equal footing in all aspects of life, and that the government has implemented women-centric policies to promote girls' education.
Girls have proven their worth in every field, and the National Commission for Women, she said, was ensuring the safety and empowerment of girls in every sphere through its programmes.
“Our government has been giving girls opportunities to demonstrate their leadership quality but there still is a need for the society to let go of its regressive mindset so that girls can come forward and be agents of change,” Sharma added.
According to Dhankar, the administration has been actively developing measures to foster societal change. “The change is now visible in the society; however, there is a need for a larger change. Our Prime Minister and the government have been dedicated to saving and promoting girl children which are now being reflected in the society,” said Dhankar.
Vats emphasised the three Ps, Poverty, Patriarchy, and Perception, as factors that limit women's opportunities and potential. She stated that it was critical to make collective efforts through cooperation and collaboration across the board in order to achieve girls' empowerment and development.
The National Girl Child Day, established in 2008 by the Ministry of Women and Child Development, is observed on January 24 each year with the goal of providing support and opportunities to Indian girls. It aims to raise awareness about the rights of the girl child, as well as the importance of girl education, health, and nutrition.
