The University of Kashmir will host an exhibition on May 29, with at least 45 Kashmiri women business owners as part of a ground-breaking initiative to inspire future students to pursue their own businesses.

The Centre for Women's Studies and Research (CWSR), which was founded by Prof. Nilofer Khan as its founding director, is in charge of organising the exhibition of all-female entrepreneurs.

According to Prof. Nilofer, the expo presents a special chance for varsity students to stop by the booths put up by female entrepreneurs and be inspired by their success stories.

"Every stall at the exhibition is a success story of women empowerment in and of itself, and it is important for our youth to know about these stories to become successful entrepreneurs of tomorrow," she said, “expressing confidence that the exhibition would be a fantastic learning experience for the University students in particular, and other visitors in general.”

The May 29 exhibition, according to her, is an effort in the University of Kashmir's initiative to promote innovation and entrepreneurship.

The day-long expo, which will take place on the Department of Management Studies' lawns, will also encourage female business owners to display their goods in an effort by the University to forge a solid connection with society. It is taking place as part of G20-related events.

"It is our goal to link the university with the community at large as well as the community at large with the university. The Vice-Chancellor stated that this is also the New Education Policy-2020's main idea.”

Joint Registrar Dr. Ashfaq A. Zarri and Coordinator, CWSR, Dr. Roshan Ara are in charge of organising the exhibition.
