About 40 percent of the business owners who pitched their ideas on Shark Tank Season 2 were women entrepreneurs, said the sharks while addressing a national daily.

Vineeta Singh, co-founder, and CEO of Sugar Cosmetics, Amit Jain, CEO and co-founder of the CarDekho Group, and Peyush Bansal, co-founder, and CEO of Lenskart com, shared some trending key points they observed during the Season 2 of the business reality TV show.

The judges observed that 89 percent of deals were provided to non-IIT and non-IIM business associates. They also added that the age groups 18 to 86 are more likely to have innovative ideas and grassroots connections and reliable investments.

Amit came up with a fascinating topic when he stated that he thought entrepreneurs who started businesses under pressure are more innovative rather than those who had the luxury of VC funding. He also added to have heard of compelling pitches from "two cohorts" of businesspeople, the first cohort made up of students belonging to respected universities and the second cohort made up of "grassroots founders" who ran their businesses mostly from their homes with minimal funding.

Amit found the second cohort of entrepreneurs more creative that too under limitations. Entrepreneurs are creating practical solutions to the identified issues remaining at their grassroots level he observed.

Vineeta shared the conversation about a company that developed a water tap that whistles when supplied by the municipality which solves the problem of irregular water delivery.

Shark Tank Season 2 is a stage where various entrepreneurs come up to present their ideas and can receive funding for their firms/ideas from a group of investors known as ‘sharks’.
