Setting ambitious goals and empowering others are fundamental principles that guide my approach. I am committed to continuous improvement and surpassing my previous achievements and firmly believe that every individual, regardless of their role or background, possesses unique knowledge and skills that contribute to our collective learning journey. “As education leaders, empower than holding power. The more you empower the higher your power goes”

What are some of the most critical challenges you encounter as a leader in Indian education sector and how do you overcome these roadblocks?

Every challenge presents an opportunity for growth and improvement, and the field of Indian education is no exception. For parents, constructing a foundation of respect for teachers and refraining from negative conversations in front of children is essential. Assessment and evaluation also pose challenges, as parents often prioritize marks over the learning process itself.

To address these challenges, effective communication and understanding between schools and parents are crucial. Schools must uphold theintegrity of the education system, school culture, and student well-being. Parents should embrace the right system of education, value teachers, and instill the same respect and appreciation in their children.

Tell us about the top three professional milestones that you have achieved over the years?

One of the pivotal moments in my life was when I discovered the world of International Baccalaureate (IB) education. The rigorous standards set by the IB board and the emphasis on global citizenship through the IB learner profile left a lasting impact on me. Another milestone was when I embarked on a journey as an IB workshop leader, Program Leader and consultant. This role not only allowed me to share my knowledge but also provided an opportunity for personal growth through interactions with diverse cultures and perspectives. Assuming leadership positions was yet another notable milestone. Over the past 15 years, I have embraced leadership roles, gradually progressed into senior leadership positions.

How do you foresee the Indian school education evolving in the near future? Which trends will have the strongest impact?

With a splendid curriculum and the implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP), India is poised to become a leading nation in education. The advancement of digital technology, robust assessment practices, and a commitment to innovative and interconnected learning are key factors that will contribute to our success. India is set to excel in areas such as digital technology, AI, STEM education, and more. By refining our systems and prioritizing emotional and social development, India is on track to raise its educational standards and attract students from around the world, solidifying its position as an educational powerhouse.
