Pratima Singh: The Epitome Of Perseverance & Passion

Pratima Singh
CEO

We would have come across a swarm of quotes such as never stop dreaming, never stop believing, never give up, never stop trying, never stop learning, and what not! What truly inspire us are not just powerful quotes like these, but the stories of relentless leaders and entrepreneurs who have been living these quotes. On this note, Pratima Singh (CEO, Rituz Interiors) and her entrepreneurial story stand as the perfect manifestation of the above quotes. Pratima is a doyen of the interior design industry with specialization in the science of Vastu. She always believed in the fact that “If you decide to do something, nothing can stop you”, and thus, outshined as the epitome of perseverance and passion. This way, she has accomplished designing diverse houses, offices, and commercial places for over 18 years with all her heart, and aims to achieve more success in the years to come!

In an exclusive interaction with Women Entrepreneur India magazine, Pratima has spoken in great length about her inspirational story as well as the excellence of Rituz Interiors.

What Inspired To Plunge Into The World Of Interior Design?

I pursued interior design course from International Polytechnic For Women (IPW), New Delhi, and later worked for a year. I always had this deep-rooted passion for designing and creating beautiful spaces and hence, laid the foundation for my own venture – Rituz Interiors after my one-year stint. Despite facing diverse challenges in the initial years, I always believed that failures are great teachers and never gave up! Besides, I promised myself to achieve more. Thanks to the unswerving support from everyone right from my family to clients and my team; my journey was beautiful. I also learnt a great deal from my father and always tried to follow his footsteps. Yet, I considered every step in my journey as a new addition to my learning and sailed ahead with success even across the uncharted waters.

Besides Your Relentless Passion For Interior Designing, What Motivated You To Keep Going Amidst The Hurdles And Challenges You Faced?

It gives me a lot of pride when people recognize the works that I do. Those lovely compliments and respect from clients coupled with the quest to achieve more always kept me going.

How Has Your Entrepreneurial Journey Been So Far?

It has been an exciting journey with many ups and downs so far! I’m extremely grateful to everyone who was a part of my journey, especially my family including my parents, sister Sona, brother Abhinav, and in-laws. They have been extensively supporting all my works. My husband Anant has always been there for me. Without him, probably, I couldn’t have managed to achieve anything. He is my biggest critique and pushes me to get better every time. My kids Prativindhya and Abhyuday and my niece Gurbani are the biggest sources of my energy while their smiles keep me motivated.

“I always believed in the fact that “if you decide to do something, nothing can stop you”!”

Balancing both work and personal life is the most difficult thing in any woman’s life. But, a little planning can help you manage both ends. I also believe in starting the day early as the key to achieving this balance.

Are You A Gadget –Savvy Person?

Yes! I love to browse through shopping portals, Instagram and Facebook in my free time.

What Are Your Hobbies, And Favourite Cuisines?

I love listening to music while creating designs. Music soothes my mind and helps the creativity to flow. My favourite cuisine is Pahari (the one cooked by my mother).
