In this conversation with Women Entrepreneurs Review, Dr Bajaj opens up about her journey, her philosophy, and how she’s redefining what it means to visit the dentist.
What drew you to dentistry? Tell us about your progress since then?
I was always academically inclined but it was the blend of biology, precision, and artistry that pulled me towards dentistry. I didn’t stumble into this, it was a choice from day one.
After completing my BDS in 2010, I underwent a one-year residency at Lal Bahadur Shastri Hospital, followed by an MDS in Prosthodontics and Implantology. My journey then took me across top-tier hospitals in Delhi-NCR, namely Max Patparganj, Dharamshila Narayana Cancer Hospital, Sant Parmanand, and others, where I gained rich, hands-on clinical experience.
As a strong believer in lifelong learning, I pursued advanced training in Digital Smile Design, combining aesthetics with function to deliver smiles that not only look good but feel natural.

What led you to found Taraash Dental and how does your philosophy shape the patient experience?
I founded Taraash Dental with the vision of carving smiles with care and precision. This reflects my core philosophy, that every smile is as precious as a jewel.
We believe our patients’ teeth are no less than diamonds. We shape them with the finesse of a jeweller.

What inspired your focus on Maxillofacial Prosthodontics? How has it impacted your patients?
As a Maxillofacial Prosthodontist, my expertise goes beyond dentistry. I’m trained to recreate lost facial features, like an eye or an ear, prosthetically. But my main focus remains fixed prosthodontics and implantology, an area where I’ve become a sought-after expert.
My passion for Digital Smile Designing has allowed me to transform the lives of patients who once felt self-conscious about their appearance. Smiles are powerful, especially for young people starting a new chapter, like a wedding or a new job. It’s incredible to watch their confidence blossom.
What challenges do you face in promoting preventive dental care while ensuring affordability?
Despite my accolades, I’m candid about the challenges that come with healthcare entrepreneurship.
Delivering international-standard care while being mindful of affordability is a constant balancing act. Public awareness is another hurdle. Many still see dental care as reactive, something to seek only in pain. I want to change that narrative and emphasize preventive dentistry. It’s about preserving your smile, not just fixing it.
What does the future holds for digital dentistry in India? How will AI impact the industry?
Indian dentistry is at a tipping point, we're in the golden era of digital dentistry. Treatments are faster, painless, and more predictable than ever before. We can now design a smile digitally and complete complex procedures like crowns in just an hour.
Looking ahead, I believe AI-driven diagnostics, chairside CAD/CAM systems, and minimally invasive techniques will redefine the standard of care across the country.
How would you describe your leadership style? How has it impacted your team?
For me, it’s simple. I live by the ABC mantra.
• A (Availability): I make sure I’m always accessible to my patients.
• B (Behaviour): Respect and empathy are non-negotiable.
• C (Capability): I never stop learning. I evolve so I can offer the best.
