What inspired you to foray into healthcare and specialize as a gynaecologist?

Having 12+ years of experience in Dubai as a gynae­cologist, obstetrician, and aesthetic gynaecologist, I was largely drawn to and inspired by the strength of women and the miracle of motherhood. With over 20 years of medical education in India serving as a foundational base for my naturally progressing career path.

Raised in Satara, Maharashtra and educated at Bharati Vidyapeeth Medical College, it became evident to me that the stimulating nature of gynaecology was quite demanding and intellectually rewarding.

For me medicine is not just a profession; it’s a calling rooted in compassion and trust. The fulfilment my parents found in caring for others inspired me to pursue a sim­ilar path, allowing me to make meaningful impact in other women’s lives.

Driven by the expertise and fine examples set by my parents, who are physicians themselves, medicine was always more than science for me. It entails the power of compassion and holds the key to empowering women through every stage of their health journey.

Take us through your professional journey. What key areas of expertise have you developed as an aesthetic gynaecologist?

My career as a specialist gynaecologist focused on obstetrics and women’s health began at Dubai’s Zulekha Hospital circa 2013. I then moved on to Aster Clinics. After completing my medical training, I began my journey with focus and dedication towards advancing women’s health and providing compassionate care.

During the course of my clinical experience, I realized that women’s health is deeply connected to confidence and emotional wellness. As a result, aesthetic gynaecology became my specialization, supported by evidence-based procedures like labioplasty, PRP, laser therapy, HIFU, and radiofrequency.

These therapies assist women in regaining their confidence and general well-being. My work at Life Medicine Center, combines traditional genealogical care with contemporary aesthetic solutions. We provide a comprehensive strategy that combines medicine and wellness. I am passionate about helping women feel safe and assured in their own bodies during major life milestones such as childbirth, menopause etc.

I ensure that every diagnosis, treatment plan, and procedure I recommend is grounded in the latest clinical research. Patients receive not only safe and effective care, but treatments that are tailored to their individual needs.

I aim to achieve and deliver holistic patient assessment. Women’s emotions, habits, and personal decisions have a significant impact on their health. I advocate for both physical and emotional well-being by viewing them holistically, especially in the context of aesthetic gynaecology.

My approach extends beyond treating physical symptom. I focus on the patient as a whole, ensuring care that integrates both health and quality of life.

The foundation of my work is clear communica­tion and a zeal to keep learning new advancements for betterment. New approaches and techniques, earned through various workshop certifications and confer­ences, is what keeps me relevant, knowledgeable and growing in changing times. In order to build confi­dence and trust, I make sure each patient is at ease and is aware of their diagnosis and treatment plan.

I follow stringent safety regulations and ensure continued education to embrace the newest advancements within the industry.

What challenges do you face as an aesthetic gynaecologist and how do you overcome them?

Today patients have grown more informed and knowledgeable, thus bridging the gap between medical expertise and patient perception has become vital for the industry. This holds more relevance in aesthetic gynaecology where the results are subjective and personal.

Managing high-risk pregnancies and complex cases often calls for quick and well-informed decisions, that ensure the safety of both, mother and child. It is a daily challenge that demands precision and compassion in equal measure. I rely on empathy, thoughtful planning, and collaboration to navigate through them with confidence and care.

The importance of open and honest communication in aesthetic gynaecology cannot be overstated. It is my duty and role to make patients feel informed, secure, and supported at every stage of their journey by outlining evidence-based results and establishing reasonable expectations.

Looking back at your professional journey, which milestones stand out? What is your ‘success mantra’?

One of the formative experiences in my journey was completing my DNB in Obstetrics and Gynaecology under the mentorship of Dr Telang and Dr Nakre. The art of balancing my studies alongside early motherhood made the achievement both challenging and deeply meaningful.

Moving to Dubai in 2013 was also transformative. I established a successful practice at Zulekha Hospital and later spent ten years with Aster Clinics, advancing my skills and scope of work in the field of aesthetic gynaecology.

I believe that true excellence comes from compassion, continuous learning, and dedication. Empathy and curiosity have always been the guiding light in my profession. These values allow me to create positive, lasting changes in the lives of the women I treat.

On a personal note, every patient’s positive experience, be it a successful delivery or a transformative aesthetic treatment, represents an achievement that goes beyond words. It allows me to reinforce my commitment to offer compassion and quality care to all my patients.
