Menstrupedia: Aditi Gupta

Aditi Gupta is the co-founder of Menstrupedia, an initiative that uses comic books and workshops to educate young girls and boys about menstruation and puberty. Drawing from her own experiences growing up with silence and stigma around periods, she launched Menstrupedia in 2012 with her partner Tuhin Paul to change the narrative. The platform now serves millions of girls, reaches more than 10,000 educators globally, and operates across dozens of countries.

Her work has been recognized globally; she’s featured on the BBC’s “100 Most Influential Women” list and Forbes India’s “30 Under 30”. Menstrupedia also partners with schools and NGOs and builds a movement where puberty education becomes a right, not a taboo.

Funding Raised: In 2022, Aditi accepted Rs 50 lakh investment in exchange for 20% equity on Shark Tank India.
