Captain: Chamari Athapaththu
Chamari Athapaththu is the captain of the Sri Lanka women's cricket team and she is a powerful and aggressive batter as captain she often leads from the front with her attacking batting as an opening batter she has often been a key player in providing a strong opening start for the team, she is always capable of taking the game away from the opposition when playing in a bold attacking matter.
She has also made many half-centuries and centuries making an impact at international cricket level showing her ability to consistently dominate bowling attacks and play in pressure situations.
Considering the quality of competition she faces at international level, Chamari’s ability to perform exceptionally against them has always secured the ball and contributes greatly to Sri Lanka standing out to remain competitive in women’s cricket.
