By: WE Staff
Tripura - Samriddhi Abhiyan for Rural Women
Tripura’s Samriddhi Abhiyan, launched under the Tripura Rural Livelihood Mission, targets nearly 4.86 lakh rural women to improve access to credit, entrepreneurship support, and income-generation activities. The goal is financial independence through stronger linkages to micro-finance, credit, and market channels. The initiative is designed to deepen SHG–bank linkages, open new livelihood conversations, and widen access to credit for women entrepreneurs. More than 4.86 lakh rural women from Tripura are covered under 54,170 SHGs, 2,479 village organizations, and 174 CLFs under TRLM.
Punjab - Business Bibaz for rural Agripreneurs
Punjab’s “Business Bibaz” positions rural women as agripreneurs producing value-added goods from dairy derivatives to mushroom farming and artisanal soaps while plugging them into incubation, certification, and market access at agricultural universities and local hubs. The initiative signals a shift from purely welfare framing to enterprise-building for rural women, leveraging state agricultural infrastructure for women-led value chains. PAMETI, under the project, will assist women farmers, self-help groups (SHGs), and rural entrepreneurs in expanding their businesses by utilizing centrally sponsored schemes and interdepartmental coordination.
