Karnataka - Private-sector push for Women Entrepreneurs

The Federation of Karnataka Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FKCCI) has rolled out drives to boost women-led entrepreneurship, organizing business-development events and creating linkages for market access and investment. FKCCI’s outreach focuses on scaling more women-led firms into mainstream trade and exports by offering mentoring, networks, and visibility for existing women entrepreneurs. The chamber is also working on a dedicated digital platform to bridge skills with employment opportunities, especially for youth.

Tamil Nadu - One-stop digital platform 'Women Information Bank'

Tamil Nadu government to introduce a single digital portal named “Women Information Bank” (WIB) that aims to aggregate services for employment, entrepreneurship, safety, and well-being. The platform is being developed under the larger TNWeSafe project supported by a World Bank loan, and is meant to be a central entry point for training, job-matching, safety alerts, and benefits information. The platform will serve as a single gateway for women to access childcare and eldercare services, hostels, counseling support, and professional networking. It will provide essential information on healthcare, legal rights, and safety, along with crisis resources and contact points. A secure system for filing workplace harassment or discrimination complaints will further strengthen grievance redressal and protection.
