Lipsa Behura - Beyond Waste
Lipsa Behura, an MBA graduate from Cuttack, Odisha, transformed her passion for sustainability into entrepreneurship during the COVID-19 lockdown. In 2020, she founded Beyond Waste, a creative studio that turns discarded materials like paper, cardboard, glass, and bottle caps into eco-conscious products such as pen stands, wall hangings, diaries, and seed or terracotta rakhis while strictly avoiding plastic to prevent microplastic pollution.
Her designs have gained recognition from major organizations, with UNICEF commissioning her team for youth conference décor, and her sustainable rakhis finding markets in cities like Pune and Bengaluru.
