Education is one of the most important tools for empowering women in society. It isn't simply confined to impacting an individual’s personality but also plays a vital role in economic, social, and cultural development. Education is what takes us forward in a sustainable manner. It performs a pivotal role in contributing to equal possibilities in the political, social, and economic sphere and a basis for communities to thrive.

UNESCO has placed its efforts to bring about equal opportunity of education irrespective of age, gender, race, or another difference in social and economic status. Women in the education system play a large part in society. Factors such as cultural, social, political, and technological adjustments in the world have revolutionized the educational and social life of women.

No less important, with inside the home, women shoulder the responsibility for the boys and girls of tomorrow’s society, for their training, and for instilling the values of equal treatment in and outside the home. Whether in developed or growing countries, in city or rural lifestyles, ultimately an educated woman serves fosters an equal society, with a ripple impact positively impacting the future. Yet, there are countries where access to (higher) education for women is restricted to inferior curricula, rooted in gender stereotypes.
