Can You Talk More About The Skincare Industry In India?
The skincare industry is becoming more and more competitive over the last five years with a number of new players entering the industry. This is primarily driven by the fact that more people are now conscious about skincare and grooming and the demand for skincare and grooming products is increasing in the market. The fact that people now have increased disposable income has also helped the skincare and grooming industry to boom as well. The influence of celebrities and influencers has also got people to be more interested in learning more about skincare routines and products that will offer them the best results.

Can You Talk More About The Evolution Of The Skin Story?
We were able to clock in impressive growth and sales figures right from our start in 2019 and within a short span of time, we have been able to reach impressive sales figures owing to
the quality of our products. Prior to the pandemic, we were primarily an offline store but after the start of the pandemic, we have shifted our focus to online sales as well. Our products are present in 1800stores across India with an impressive 60 percent of our customers returning to purchase our products. The primary reason behind our growth is our research and development and through our own manufacturing unit, we are able to offer top-notch products to our customers. We also ensure that the products that we offer are nourishing for the skin unlike many other skincare products that are very harsh when you use it on your skin.

Our parent company is a market leader who provides raw materials to other tier-one cosmetic companies. So, this expertise and network help us to source the best quality raw materials for our products. This also helps us to understand the gaps in the industry and offer top-notch client-centric services.

Can You Talk More About The Products That You Offer?
We have created a diversified product portfolio and under The Skin Story, we offer products such as face wash, face pack, hair range, sun care, body care, and toner products. This diversity has also helped us to appeal towards a wider audience and grow our business. As of now, we are also expanding into dermatologically tested products like under eye gel, pimple spot corrector, and day creams to mention a few.

What Are The Different Roles That You Play At The Company?
I am the CEO and founder of the company and I look after product development, packaging, marketing, logistics and sales among many others. We also have various departments that are working under me and I have to co-ordinate all their activities as well. So, getting to work in all the different facets of the business also helps me to be a better business leader who can make the right business decisions at the right time.

What Helps You To Run Your Business In A Successful Way?
My motivation to take the company towards greater heights is the biggest driving factor behind the growth of the company. I have also been able to instill motivation to all our employees and this allows them to offer the best for the organization even during the difficult times like what we are going through right now.

What Are The Future Plans Of Your Company?
We want to come up with all kinds of skincare and grooming products and develop into a house hold brand in the country. We want to be a people-centric company that they can trust. We are now exporting to a couple of countries as well and we want to increase the number of markets we are present in in the future.
