Rakshitta Ravi: FIDE rating of 2303 as of June 2025
Rakshitta Ravi, born in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, is a chess player with a rich family background. Her father, International Master T.S. Ravi, and mother, Woman International Master Sai Meera Ravi, have made significant contributions to the game. Rakshitta began playing chess at the age of four and a half, and her early achievements include a bronze medal at the Asian Youth Chess Championship in Sri Lanka in 2012 and another bronze in Iran in 2013. She has achieved numerous accolades, including being the 24th Indian woman to attain the prestigious title of Women Grandmaster (WGM) in 2023. Her playing style is characterized by strategic depth and calculated aggression. As of June 2025, she holds a FIDE standard rating of 2303, with a peak rating of 2365 achieved in February 2025.
