Avani Chaturvedi- Aviation Industry
The 30-year-old, Squadron leader Avani Chaturvedi is the first female combat pilot in India and written her name in the history after becoming Indian Air Force’s (IAF) first ever woman fighter pilot to participate in an aerial wargame abroad.
Considering the global presence, Avani was IAF contingent’s part that took part in a 16-day mega air combat exercise at the Japanese airbase of Hyakuri with Japan Air Self Defence Force (JASDF). She also flew an aircraft MiG-21 'Bison' that is to be known world’s highest landing and take-off speed aircraft.
