Andhra Pradesh - Urban infrastructure & targeted empowerment drives
Andhra Pradesh is strengthening urban infrastructure with a clear priority to improve essential services that directly benefit citizens, including women and families. The government is pushing the timely completion of major projects across 77 municipalities, covering solid and liquid waste management, better drainage, roads, and street lighting. The state is also expanding efficient drainage systems and working to ensure 90 percent of urban households receive drinking water connections within two years through AMRUT 2.0.
Bihar - Mukhyamantri Mahila Rozgar Yojana
Bihar has expanded its support for women’s entrepreneurship through the Mukhyamantri Mahila Rojgar Yojana, disbursing Rs 10,000 each to 25 lakh women to help them start small businesses. The scheme provides direct financial assistance to one woman per family, with further funding up to Rs 2 lakh for those who successfully scale their ventures. Targeting SHG members and other eligible women across the state, it builds on Bihar’s broader empowerment reforms, including reservations for women in panchayats and government jobs.
