Ms. A. Manimekhalai - Union Bank of India
Ms. A. Manimekhalai, with over 37 years of banking experience, has been appointed as the Managing Director and CEO of Union Bank of India on June 3, 2022. She started working for Vijaya Bank as an officer in 1988 and went on to hold several executive roles, including functional head of several departments at the corporate office, branch head, and regional head. She was the Executive Director at Canara Bank before joining Union Bank of India. There, she was in charge of marketing, financial inclusion, inspection, credit and related matters, state-level lead bank duties, and the operation of regional rural banks. Her contribution to the successful collaboration of Syndicate Bank and Canara Bank played a vital role.
