HR leaders who prioritize learning understand that growth is not just about achieving company goals but about fostering a culture where people can evolve continuously. Snigdha Tripathi, Founder of A.S.V.I, an employee lifecycle management organization, embraced every opportunity to learn and grow, a value instilled in her by her supportive parents. She established A.S.V.I with a vision to unlock potential and unravel opportunities for competence.
With a background in chemical engineering, Snigdha often compares people to ‘unique chemicals with distinct potentials’ that thrive in the right environment, while HR acts as a catalyst for growth and transformation. She started her career at Deloitte Consulting and later explored opportunities at Royal Bank of Scotland and Ericsson. With a heart full of gratitude for her mentors and colleagues, Snigdha aims to pay it forward by empowering others to dream, grow, and succeed.
Engaging in an interaction with Women Entrepreneurs Review magazine, Snigdha shares the details of her journey as one of the leading HR consultants in the country. Let’s read about it.
Can you share the key lessons from your time at Deloitte, Royal Bank of Scotland, and Ericsson?
My journey at Deloitte, Royal Bank of Scotland, and Ericsson has shaped me into the person I am today. Deloitte helped me gain confidence and to understand the link between various aspects of business. The exposure, along with guidance from mentors, left a lasting impression on me and helped me find my strength.
At the Royal Bank of Scotland, I witnessed how the concepts and designs I had worked on as a consultant translated into real-world implementations. It was the perfect blend of consulting and line HR.
Ericsson has been a game changer for me because it instilled in me a high sense of ownership and the courage to venture on my own. I also learned the importance of humility, accessibility, and walking the talk, which I actively apply to my leadership style.
What inspired you to establish A.S.V.I, and what are the key areas of expertise that define the venture?
I have always believed that every individual has an immense potential waiting to be unlocked. Throughout my professional journey, I have seen how the right support and environment can bring out the best in people. This inspired me to establish A.S.V.I.
At A.S.V.I, we design integrated employee lifecycle management solution that aligns individual potential with organizational potential. A.S.V.I operates in two key areas. First is creating tailored models that help organizations unlock the potential of their people by fostering environments unique to their needs, and second is providing comprehensive Fractional HR Support.
We Integrate Talent Management With Organizational Growth, Ensuring The Right Talent, Environment, And Timing For Transparency And Thriving Success
As a young entrepreneur in the Indian HR landscape, what are some critical challenges you face, and how do you address them?
One of the biggest challenges I have faced is finding the right balance between growth and quality. We have chosen a path that is deeply purpose-driven, and it is not always easy to find people who align with that vision and are ready to step out of their comfort zones to join a young, evolving organization.
Another challenge was getting our idea accepted. When you are part of a well-known organization, your ideas already carry weight. But starting on your own, without the backing of a big brand, requires a lot of perseverance and belief in yourself and your vision.
What is your vision for A.S.V.I and how do you plan to align it with industry trends?
In the next two years, I want to trigger a shift in how people view HR. We want the industry to embrace the idea that people-centric, data-driven insights can profit both organizational performance and individual growth. We will focus on sparking conversations, sharing insights, and helping organizations embrace a lens that combines empathy with a structured, objective unbiased approach to unlock potential and align opportunities to competence.
In the next 5 years, I aim to build A.S.V.I as a platform which empowers HR to proactively support businesses in formulating the right strategy and planning the right interventions. This skill-based career path-oriented employee lifecycle map brings clarity to organization and their employees. Too often, individuals feel confined by the roles they are in, believing that growth is linear or limited to their current path. We want to challenge the preconceived notion of what growth looks like by inspiring people to envision new paths and giving them the tools and confidence to pursue them. Only then can we unlock their true potential.
My ultimate goal is to make A.S.V.I a trusted partner for HR and position it as ‘HR for HR’, as this function is going to be most critical and strategic in future.
What is your success mantra?
My success mantra is staying authentic and leading with honesty and integrity. I believe that genuine connections and open communication create the strongest foundations for success. At A.S.V.I, it is the open mind and perseverance to grow and ideate that matters, and we are age, gender, and perception agnostic!
Business leaders you admire: Ericsson CEO, Börje Ekholm, for his honest and transparent leadership style, walking the talk. Walt Disney for his philosophy of dreaming big, focusing on experience, quality and his sense of perseverance. Last but not the least, Reshma Saujani (Founder of Girls Who Code) and Darshana Joshi (Founder of Vigyanshala), for taking a mandate to empower ‘girls’ to break the norms and myths of the world which stereotype roles to be played by a specific gender.
