Under her guidance, the company has been able to create a niche in the segment and become a pioneering name in the industry.

Shilpi talks more about her professional journey and the various operations of Job Manifest in an exclusive interview with Women Entrepreneur.

Tell us about your professional journey?

I have worked as an HR personnel at various publication houses and before that I was a lecturer in college. After marriage and having a kid, I thought that, I have learned a lot in my professional career so far and I have seen firsthand that consultancy is a good business. From that thought I decided to give it a try and start my own consultancy firm. When I started, I prioritized on offering jobs to those mothers who had to leave their professional career because of their motherly duties. And even in my organization, most of the employees are mothers and even the working hours are set in such a way that, they have enough time to do their chores at home. All this has helped my team to stay motivated which improves the efficiency of their operations.

What Were The Challenges That You Faced In Your Career And How Did You Mitigate Them?

Being a women entrepreneur is quite difficult and challenging but many women have immense potential when it comes to HR than men. One of the challenges when I started my business, people said that I was too young because I was only 27 when I started the firm. But I am the one who seeks for the toughest of challenge and keep the attitude to solve it an efficient and effective manner. The mentality to push me to my limits is what has helped me to push my ceiling farther and farther. This mindset has helped me to grow my business on a consistent manner and get new businesses regularly.

“Manifest yourself the way you are and every opportunity that exists and you deserve will come to you on its own. There are various challenges that are exclusive to women when it comes to running a business both from inside the industry and at the home front. But don’t let these adversely affect you, just yourself push forward to achieve your dreams”

How Do You Separate Yourself From The Rest Of The Competition?

It is easy to get people for well reputed brands but it is hard to find the suitable personnel for a startup in the industry and that’s what we do. First of all, we understand the organization and their requirements. Only after that we start working on getting the people. When we get potential employees for our clients, we not only ensure that they have the right qualifications, but we get candidates that will go in sync with the values and culture of the organization. We also take input from the candidates and let the organization know if they need to change or improve on certain aspects related to their HR operations if required. We make sure that we offer our clients candidates who always wants to learn and who are the right fit for the organization. I also make sure that we understand the budget of the clients’ and find them candidates that will fit within that allocated budget.

what is the road ahead for the company?

The basic idea is to keep on growing but our idea is to grow in synergy. The road ahead is to create a network of clients and resources so vast that the only mediator between the opportunity and the job seeker is their own knowledge being enhanced by us to present their most furnished skills and represent the organization as the dream land in the market. Not to sugar coat anything but present it as it is so that there is least hoax and maximum productivity all around.

What Would Be Your Advice To Women Entrepreneurs?

One problem that I see in the market is that women entrepreneurs are not that keen on supporting each other in the industry. This needs be to changed and my advice to the women entrepreneurs would be to trust each other and if you are facing any challenges don’t shy away from seeking help. There are various challenges that are exclusive to women when it comes to running a business both from inside the industry and at the home front. But don’t let these adversely affect you, just push yourself forward to achieve your dreams. Also, the mindset of society, women don’t really get a second chance and even though, this is putting extra pressure on women, see it as an extra motivation to be successful.
