There are people who say, and then there are people who do. The harsh reality being, when it comes to women empowerment, the former outnumbers the later. Yet there are visionaries, who know what to do and how to do it. Education indeed has the power to change it all, to make the society realize that a woman is equal to a man in each and every aspect of life, be it education, be it professional life or be it family. This creates a dire need for educational institutions that support the 'Beti Padhao Beti Bachao' (Educate a girl child Save a girl child) movement launched by the central government and is determined to change the point of view of the patriarchal Indian society. Founded in 2008, Malla Reddy Engineering College for Women (MRECW) does not only stand testimony to the rising status of women in the country, but also helps them realize their true worth and the successful future they can have with the right opportunity.
