ICC Women's World Cup 2025: Meet the 8 Trailblazing Captains
By: WE staff
Team India
Captain: Harmanpreet Kaur
The captain of the Indian women's cricket team Harmanpreet Kaur has shown exceptional quality of captaincy and batting on a consistent basis.
She made 102 runs off 84 deliveries against England in the third of the One Day International (ODI) series, and became the second Indian woman to score a century in ODIs (behind Jaya Sharma, who was 70 balls against England).
It marked a huge milestone for Harmanpreet in convincing that her innings played a crucial rule in securing India's victory against England and entering into the list of very few Indian woman cricketers who have surpassed 4,000 One Day International runs.
Team members: Smriti Mandhana, Jemimah Rodrigues, Pratika Rawal, Sree Charani, Kranti Gaud, Harleen Deol, Deepti Sharma, Sneh Rana, Uma Chetry, Richa Ghosh, Arundhati Reddy, Radha Yadav, Renuka Singh, Amanjot Kaur
