Veera Health: Shobhita Narain & Shashwata Narain

Founded in August 2020 by sister duo Shobhita Narain (COO) and Shashwata Narain (CEO), Veera Health is a women’s hormonal health platform. Drawing from personal experiences, Veera Health was born out of Shobhita’s personal struggle with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) and years of misdiagnosis.

Determined to make women’s healthcare more accessible and evidence-based, Veera Health leverages Shashwata’s background in data science and Shobhita’s in biology and psychology. Veera combines medical care, nutrition therapy, mental health support, and lifestyle coaching through a subscription model.

The startup also launched VeeVital, a nutraceutical line for PCOS, and partnered with Tata 1mg for at-home diagnostic tests. With an estimated 1 in 5 Indian women affected by PCOS, Veera’s mission is to bridge the healthcare gap for women through science-backed, stigma-free solutions.

Funding Raised: Backed by $4.13 million in funding from Sequoia’s Surge, Y Combinator, and others, Veera stands as a leading example of women-led innovation.
