9 DECEMBER2025On November 25, 2025, the Lady Entrepreneurs' Wing of the Vidarbha Industries Association, held a session, `Unlocking Growth Through Udaan 2025 MSMEs (Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises)', which aimed to familiarizing participants with various Government Programmes and Financial Schemes offered by Government for MSMEs, especially Women Entrepreneurs; access to Government Schemes and Resources.The Chief Guest for the session was Vijaya Rahatkar, who is Chairperson of the National Commission for Women (NCW). During her address, she provided an update on NCW's various National Programmes relating to Women Safety, Women Empowerment and Welfare.The presentation included information on three of the NCW's initiatives such as Sakshama, which assists women survivors of acid attacks, Prajwala connects women's self-help groups with Government schemes, and Suhita provides 247 assistance to women in crisis.Vijaya also provided an update on the NCW's Legal Reform Efforts, Digital Training, Capacity Building and Rehabilitation Support. Finally, Rahatkar recognised VIALEW for their significant contribution in mentoring, developing skills and digital enablement of women.Guest of Honour Dr. Vijay R. Sirsath, Joint Director and Head of Office, MSME DFO Nagpur, explained the MSME Cluster Flatted Factory Complex under the MSE - CDP scheme.He observed that under the initiative, small enterprises are offered multi-Storey factory units with shared facilities for enhancing efficiency and competitiveness, besides providing financial assistance towards cluster development and creation of Common Facility Centres.Kuldeep Ram Kishore, Assistant General Manager SMECC, Bank of India, Nagpur, focused on the rising role of MSMEs in the Indian economy and the need for accessible and technology-driven finances among entrepreneurs.He talked about their problems with collateral, financial literacy, and working capital; and proposed solutions via MUDRA, Stand-Up India, PMEGP, and CGTMSE. He then gave a presentation on Bank of India's Udyami Vanita Scheme, which is framed with flexible financing for lady entrepreneurs.Several other officials presented information regarding added government and institutional support during the programme. Piyush Mishra, Assistant PF Commissioner ­ EPFO, presented information on the Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana (PMVBRY) that subsidizes first-time employees and employers.Similarly, Kapil Bhoyal, Manager (BD), NSIC Nagpur, presented information on the Raw Material Assistance Scheme for financing the procurement of indigenous and imported raw materials.The welcome address was given by Yogita Deshmukh, Chairperson ­ LEW. The proceedings of the session were conducted by Project Directors Shachi Mallick and Disha Dambhare. The vote of thanks was delivered by Poonam Gupta, Secretary ­ LEW.Present on the occasion were women entrepreneurs, start-ups and VIALEW members Poonam Lala, Manisha Bawankar, Vandana Sharma, Neelam Bowade, Minal Dawande and Shrigauri Ghahate.
