8 MAY2025Recently, an engaging session has been hosted by the Singapore Indian Chamber of Commerce & Industry (SICCI) with the Indian Women's Association Singapore Entrepreneur's Wing. The event took place in Singapore bringing 40 women entrepreneurs together.Members of the Indian Women's Association Singapore Entrepreneur's Wing has been welcomed by SICCI for the session. They have been invited to explore resources of business as well as support services.Moreover, the event highlighted the range of support services that are available via SICCI for aiding women to grow and make their businesses sustainable.SICCI Executive Director Ms Jamuna Rani started the session with a candid talk with an informal and approachable style, encouraging open dialogue which allowed participants to talk about their challenges and curiosities. She also addressed the questions of the participants while introducing the diverse ways SICCI supports business development.The event was then continued by Ms Deepa Suppiah's presentation on the SME Centre@SICCI where she gave details about the tailored support available for small and medium-sized enterprises that also includes strategies for business development, expansion of market and financial advisory services. She also put emphasis on the crucial role of Business Advisors in providing personalised guidance to entrepreneurs.All the attendees gave enthusiastic responses while expressing their gratitude towards the opportunity for gaining insights into the services of SICCI. Their optimistic feedback spotlighted such alliance's value in creating a supportive ecosystem for women in business. While speaking at Saudi ArabiaU.S. Investment Forum 2025 in Riyadh, Infantino pointed out the spectacular development and rising commercial value of women's football.The 2023 Women's World Cup, jointly hosted by New Zealand and Australia, broke even with more than $570 million in revenue--offering a good platform for future development. Infantino described women's football as "incredibly important" and stated that FIFA plans to reinvest the concerted $1 billion all back into the women's game.Brazil will be the host of the 2027 tournament and will have the distinction of hosting the Women's World Cup for the first time in South America. The United States is planned to be the host of the 2031 competition and it will increase from 32 teams to 48 teams.Infantino also highlighted the dormant economic power of football outside of Europe, projecting that if nations such as Saudi Arabia or the U.S. could reach 20 percent of Europe's football activity, the world GDP contribution from the sport would be more than half a trillion dollars. He praised Saudi Arabia's drive to develop women's football, such as the creation of a women's league and national team, and referred to it as one of the most significant women's team sports in the world.
