9 DECEMBER2025The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India, along with UN Women India, has issued a global call for abstracts to identify gender-transformative AI solutions that have evidenced measurable, real-world impact across the Global South.In advance of the India-AI Impact Summit 2026, this Compendium will highlight information relating to artificial intelligence (AI) usage for gender equality, inclusivity, and empowerment.The Compendium is a joint effort between IndiaAI and UN Women India and will showcase the most innovative, scalable and gender-sensitive applications of AI developed by innovators, researchers, and practitioners.In addition, it will provide a resource of knowledge to policymakers, industry leaders and development specialists who are striving to adopt responsible and inclusive AI globally.It will include case studies of how the application of AI can yield measurable benefits to women and girls. Examples of areas where AI may offer quantifiable benefits include: Health; Financial Security; Resilience to Climate Issues; Safety; and Education.Call for Submissions in the form of Abstracts (250-word MAX) is due via the Submission Portal by December 15, 2025. Shortlisted applicants will be invited to submit full chapters of 750­800 words each that will feature in the final publication titled "Top 15 AI Solutions from the Global South."The Compendium will be released at the India AI Impact Summit 2026 scheduled to take place in New Delhi from 15­20 February 2026. The submission guidelines and application forms are available on the IndiaAI platform.
