8 JULY2025The Institute of Chemical Technology (ICT), Mumbai, has announced that Dr. Prajakta Dandekar Jain, UGC Assistant Professor within the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Technology, has been decided on as a Founding Member of the newly formed INSA Women Associates (IWA), set up by way of the Indian National Science Academy (INSA), New Delhi.This prestigious recognition highlights Dr. Prajakta's huge contributions to pharmaceutical biotechnology, in addition to her dedication to mentorship, interdisciplinary collaboration, and advancing girl's participation in technological know-how.In her new role, Dr. Prajakta will join an esteemed group of scientific leaders supporting form India's innovation atmosphere. He emphasized increasing opportunities in rural India within the EV automotive industries and suggested setting up a Center of Excellence.ASDC Vice President Vinkesh Gulati highlighted Saksham's role in bridging gender gap and changing lives, with more than 4,000 women already trained. Phase II will train 20,000 women in eight short-skilled jobs in high demand, with close to 1,900 already enrolled.Saksham is further spreading across the country, fostering inclusive skilling, financial empowerment, and gender parity reaffirming the belief that empowering women powers national growth.
